As yet these paintings remain untitled, they are an exploration of decay and change.
Seen from afar landscapes often appear to remain constant, when viewed from a train for example a mountain looks unchanged for a considerable time even though the angle from which it is viewed is changing rapidly. That same mountain when seen from a stationary position might remain unchanged for the lifetime of the viewer. In photographs it may appear constant, often for hundreds, even thousands of years. Yet close up that same place is constantly changing whilst being eroded by wind and rain. ( acrylic on board and canvas) |
